Appreciation

"EFT is a powerful tool but, like any tool, is most useful when in the hands of a skilled practitioner."

Recently, there has been a lot of intense energy going on with folks feeling more emotional than usual.  This is a great chance to explore what role emotions play in our spiritual and personal development.

Learning how to "use" our emotions is one of the advanced skills of this century.  There is a beautiful serenity and grace in learning how to move through our emotions, not ignoring them, but not staying stuck in them either.

The three parts to successfully navigating our emotions can be found in the sucessful application of EFT:

  • Identify and connect with the emotion (Naming the issue and SUDS.)
  • Feel valued and loved even while having the emotion (The Set-Up Phrase)
  • Move through the emotion to a reframe, gaining a new insight about ourselves or the world. (The Tapping).
Being open to a new conceptual reframe is an important part of the process and often happens naturally with tapping,.   If you find yourself not making progress, finding the right reframes is one thing I do particularly well for my clients.   Feel free to leave a comment with questions or email me.  Or better yet, schedule a session!

Hugs and love to all,
Deborah

Hi Deborah
Thanks for this. I love these simple summaries of EFT as it's sometimes easy to get bogged down in the detail.

Thanks,

Thanks Stewart -- it's amazing how something so simple is so profound! I keep seeing more and more deeply how profoundly-wise EFT really is ... thanks for reading and commenting! All the best to you across the Atlantic ...
